Preparing Christmas Eve Dinner

This is why I took two days off. I debated and almost took only one but shopping alone took abut 5 hours today because I had to go to multiple stores and they were BUSY.

Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas Eve and day and that you get to spend it with those you love and who care for you. Jerry and I had many alone holidays and I am sure enjoying living near family and sharing special times.

Christmas Eve

Eddie

Woody

Daisey

We went to Christmas Eve dinner at the Beachcomber again last night - Marge treats us every year because she can no longer contribute to holiday dinners so this is "her thing". The lobster bisque is yummy.
Last night put together a strata for breakfast/brunch which will be in a couple hours. Dinner will be later. I'm doing this cooking under a boil water alert. A water main broke and it's a difficult one to repair so we will be boiled water for 5 days. The timing!

These are a few shots of the dogs under the tree. Hope you all are having a wonderful day.

Merry Christmas Eve

We went to our traditional Christmas dinner at the Beachcombers on Clearwater Beach tonight. Marge hosts the dinner every year since she is no longer able to cook but wants to contribute to our holidays meals. There is just something magical about Christmas Eve to me.

Tomorrow's meal will be at our house although I will have to take the rib roast and the potatoes to Marge's because of my nonfuncitoning oven. She doesn't want anyone to know what we are doing because her building is strict so we'll be trying to sneak a rib roast out of the building, LOL. Perhaps Santa will leave a new oven under my Christmas tree tonight.

Seriously though, I wish you a Merry Christmas. I hope you are able to spend the day with someone you love.
