Daisey's Coat Giveaway Results

Remember the fancy pink coat I made for Daisey and it got a tad snug? Well, I sent it to Tinkerbell in Georgia. Here she is modeling it with her two sons Ace (left) and Spoticus (center). Tink's boys are about 6 month old I believe.
Isn't she lovely? I thought after having 6 babies and now raising 2 teenaged boys she deserved something special.

Ace (right) is a "Tuxedo" rattie (black body) and Spoticus & Tinkerbelle are the more typical tri-color.

GIVEAWAY!!!

I made this coat for Miss Daisey 3 or 4 years ago. She wore it once and I put it away and haven't been able to find it since. The temperature has dropped here in FL so we've been in the coat closet and there it was! Hubby hung a jacket over it so I couldn't see it. That's the good news....

The bad news is that it is a tad bit tight on her now. She's 15 and a half lbs and the coat really is for a dog between 14 and 15 lbs. So..........I'm thinking of giving it away and preferably to a girlie dog who lives in a cold climate.

If you are interested, please post a comment on this post describing the dog, how she fits the description above (14 - 15 lbs, girlie, cold climate), and why she deserves a "couture" coat. Oh, and spread the word - I wanna meet lots of new doggie friends! Deadline is January 25th.

More Made It Myself Monday (on Tuesday)

Got photos of the vests, coats, and purse I made from that Alabama fabric for a internet friend who is crazy about Bama football. The top photo is her grown rat terrier Katie Scarlet giving the evil eye to the new puppy Beaureguard (a.k.a. Beau) because he was wiggling during the photoshot of them in their Bama vests. Little Beau has some growing to do before his fits him!

A beautiful shot of Miss Katie Scarlet (a.k.a. KS) in her new coat. I made a matching scarf but she wanted to include her big sister Dixie (below) by letting her model it. The coat is reversible with the Bama fabric on the other side.

Final shot is KS, the purse I made for their mamma Jan, and little Beau. Katie is teaching Beau how to pose, LOL.

Great Buys for Doggies at Target

I stopped at Target on the way home tonight and in that special value area in the front, they had a section of 2/$5 dog items relating to winter and/or Christmas. There were GREAT values in there. This means that despite student loan payment begining shortly, I will be able to participate in being a secret Santa for a couple of homless foster dogs. Yippee!!!

I don't normally use my blog to promote a retail giant like Target but hey, when you see a HUGE value you just gotta share it!
