After he rolled and made a mess of himself, the parking meter ran out and I had to take him in my car. I debated whether to hose him again and then put a soaking wet dog in the car or just a moist, dirty one. Went for the dirty one. If you look closly you can see pine needles on him. The dirt is concealed by his ticking. While I was getting the camera ready for this shot, he snuck a sip of my ice tea.

Guess what? We now have a "working" traffic light. It seems a little silly to me, but I guess it helps.
Luvonne, where is the light? Is it where the non-working light has been for a million years? Or at the Y? Yes, they installed parking meters at the county park which is, in this case, a beach with bathhouses, covered picnic spots, and a dog park. I believe the intent is to collect something from the folks that use it instead of everything on the tax payer.
The light is at the same spot. I my opinion, they really should have designed it at the Safeway exit. It can be IMPOSSIBLE to turn left there. Especially now that there is a Taco Bell/KFC combo...oh yeah...we now have Taco Bell too. I haven't gone there yet...it's way to crazy busy since the opening, and no way will I ever wait more than 5 minutes for (overpriced) fast food.
