Wild Turkey In The Hood

I was surprised to see a wild turkey in our suburban neighborhood today!

Wild turkeys are usually in flocks. Wonder how this one got separated from the rest.

Lea, I thought the same thing. I've never seen a lone turkey before. The neighbor's dog ran at shortly after my last photo and it flew up into a tree.

I saw the wild turkeys here a couple weeks ago but they didn't stay around. I guess they are scouting out a place to hatch their eggs.(-:
