Lineage Saturday

Today I attended a meeting of my UDC chapter. Members Dorris & Diana were presented with bouquets as one ended and one began offices for the Florida division.

Since the program was a recap of the convention last week, I wore a hat again! I bought this while we were in Savannah earlier in the week. We had a salad and dessert luncheon which was really yummy and nice for a warm day.

I like this hat photo because it looks more like me. I have no idea who the serious-looking woman is in the previous hat photos ;)

Last Weekend

This time last week mom & I were in Jacksonville FL attending a lineage society state convention. This group of ladies often wear hats during the day so I thought I would give it a try. Now I just need to figure out what to do with my hair when  I wear a hat.

And then there is this:

In Savannah

After our lineage conference in Jacksonville, we decided to check off something on my moms bucket list. So, we are in Savannah!

Fundraiser Wreaths

OK, they have bids! Last I looked one was $51 and one was $60. The bidding ends tomorrow. (Oh, I forgot to mention that mom and I made these to sell in the boutique at a lineage society convention we are attending in Jacksonville.)

Dish Garden II

We've had another person in the office lose a parent. Lots of sadness lately because we also lost a coworker unexpectedly. Coworkers asked me to make another dish garden. Such a tough time of year for plants unless you want mums. Only found 1 decent orchid so I just went with other tropical. Cant tell from the photos but it has lots of red in it.

Update From The Organic Farm

We have had a lot of rain around here lately. Not only has it rained most days but it's been a lot of rain. We had a couple days with over 2 inches per day. I've been calling it monsoon season.

Well, the farm I referred to in my last post got it even worse - 12 inches in a week. I received my first newsletter and they are having to replant due to floating plants. That's how it goes with farming coops - some years are good and some not so good.

I'm including a photo I took in my backyard on one of the monsoon days.
