Pencil Sketch

I discovered a new program (because my Internet Explorer no longer works on my laptop, I am using a loaner right now, and the only way I can access online programs is if there is an app for my Windows 8.1 laptop) called "Pencil Sketch" which will make your photos look as though they were drawn or painted.

For example, this photo:

Becomes these:

I also did some rattie photos (surprise, surprise) but did them like real pencil drawings (B&W) and saved them in another new app called "Cool Collage" and got this:

It's my first use of a free-form collage. I usually use Pixler where you choose the layout and put the photos in boxes. I tried to do that with the old photos of me (above) but they saved as wrong format (boo). So, it's not exactly how I envisioned it but a good start. Working with so many overlapping photos is just that, work. Gives me a new appreciation for all the ads and brochures we receive and just toss away- lots of time and work probably went into them.

Former Foster & Butt/Body Collage

Just a little doodling with Pixlar and photos of my former fosters (by the way, we are adopting the old gal, Diamond) and one where I assembled the leashed up and ready to go butt shots. The butt/body shots include the beautiful Miss Daisey (miss her everyday) but excludes Peanut. Peanut was an accidental foster and I didn't have a digital camera at the time.

Dog Park Saturday

Let's go to the dog park! That's Eddie on the left, Diamond in the middle, and Loni on the right.

We met up with Keeko's new family. Eddie photobombed Keek's new momma and brother Cajun.

Keeko! He was excited to see me but didn't try to leave with me so all is good.

Loni seemed to enjoy the park and behaved really well. We had no idea what to expect.

Now all three dogs are passed out ;)

Keeko Has Gone To His Furever Home

Amidst all the sadness of Marge's passing, we did have one very happy event. Keeko found his forever home! He will be living nearby so I will be able to see him and watch him grow up. Here's a little collage I did of him - the photo in the center is his new parents.

Keeko The Giant Puppy

Pardon my lack of posts about my foster Keeko. He is so active that I have to keep my eyes on him, and off the keyboard. He's damaged 2 pairs of shoes and a Tampa Bay Rays baseball cap. He's had numerous other items iDn his mouth, including my car keys, that I have saved from harm. We just aren't accustomed to a puppy or a dog this big. He's worn this middle aged couple out!

All that said, he is absolutely a doll. Sweet, affectionate, comical, loving, and very active.  He's even convinced our old guy Eddie to play. Diamond is another story - their interactions usually result in the giant puppy trying to hide from her either in my lap or between me and the chair I am occupying.

He went on the Ratbone Website recently and already has an application in ! http://www.ratbonerescues.com/available_response.php?name=keeko&submit=Find%21
From his bio on the webpage you can access his image event page as well.

I Got A New Foster And His Name Is Keeko

Leaving the Miami-Dade shelter where he wasn't offered on the adoption floor
Enjoying grass again and getting ready to start his journey to central Florida
Keeko is a giant rat terrier, possibly a Decker, and didn't fit in the crate the shelter puller brought so he got to ride in the back seat on his 4 car transport.
Everyone who transported him thought he was a sweet baby (he's young) and huge for a rattie.

Finally......Clearwater! I brought a toy in our car and he was so excited that he wouldn't let go of it and carried it into the house. I bet he missed having toys while he was incarcerated.

LIttle learning curve at the dog door
He's trying to make friends with Eddie - not going so well
