Made It Myself Monday

My apologies to those who expected Green Thumb Sunday entries. My gardening has wound down to simply watering orchids for now. I will get out there and do a major trim job, I hope, before my Dad comes on the 20th. Time is just slipping away..............

This is the lasagna I made yesterday. It was my first time to use the no-boil noodles and it was fine. Jerr broke my big lasagna pan and it's never been repaced so I used a brownie dish. Needless to say we had a little boil over due to smashing that much filling into the smaller pan. I used both ground beef and Italian sausage. Also, parmesan, ricotta, and mozerella.

Maybe it's the chilly weather (50's - 70's) but my nesting instincts are strong these past couple weeks. Might be part of why I'm not gardening. I saw these thick pork chops at Costco and they were just screaming out to be stuffed! LOL . I froze two (raw but stuffed) for Marge, and 3 for us for when my Dad is here. They smelled divine while they overcooked, oops. I'm having oven problems. Yea! Maybe I can get a new one :)

And finally, my only Christmas decoration so far. It's a naivity by Jim Shore. I love it because there are quilt patterns on every piece - click on it to make it larger and see.
