1 of 4 Boxes Has Arived

I sent out 4 Christmas boxes (so far) but only 1 has arrived - bummer. I mailed out doggie stuff before human gifts because I made/sewed stuff meaning I had to start early. Apparently, not early enough. My online friend Michelle in Wisconsin got her box today and here's her pack modeling their doggie jammies I made for them. I am hoping my recipients in California & New York get theirs tomorrow :(

Meet Ms. Sydney. She is a petite Jack russell and it sounds as if she rules the roost at her house. She is modeling her new black polar flece jammies with embrodiered cheeries. Sydney has been featured on my blog before - she's the one who looks so good in red (although this photo makes her jammies look trimmed in hot pink, not red). These sames jammies were modeled on this blog by my Miss Daisey.
This is Buddy, Michelle's granddog, who is a mix of Jack Russell and Rat Terrier. Buddy was Michelle's foster until her son Jordan adopted him. Apparently Buddy thinks clothes with legs are gonna need some getting used to. He's sporting Michelle favorite teamwear in fleece.

Finally there is Sonic the Rat Terrier that Michelle & Mike rescued. Mike is a Packers fan and they live in Wisconsin so I made his jammes from Green Bay team wear. Mr. Sonic is a plus size rattie so I altered the pattern and they look good from what I see. I did the same for a vest I previously made for him so I guess you could say that Sonic has his own personal seamstress, LOL.

Sonic & Sydney

It's late and I need to get to bed but the doggie harness vests I made and then mailed from Florida on Monday actually got to Wisconsin today. Good job post office! Here's photos of Sydney & Sonic in their new duds.

This girl's name is Sydney and she is a Jack Russell Terrier. She is wearing her new red harness vest that I made for her from the fabric purchased in Austria. Doesn't she look divine in red?

Meet Sonic. He is a male Rat Terrier and from the looks of this photo I will be making him a new vest in a size larger. Sorry he can't wear the cool fabric from Bali but I have something else in mind that will be just as fun!

Traffic Jam

Yesterday I longed for my somwhat simple life in Kodiak. I miss Kodiak often but that usually refers to the people there. Yesterday it was the lifestyle. It took me almost an hour and a half to get home due to poor traffic conditions resulting from weather. I can deal with the weather but stop and go traffic for an hour and a half is awful. Sorry to whine but I truly believe we need to rethink transportation in this and many other urban areas that are so dependant on cars. I would LOVE some sort of monorail system like in downtown Seattle. I have some ideas in my head of how to a address fuel, trafffic, and pollution concerns while respecting the individuals need for convenience and privacy afford by a personal car. Someday I will draw it up and share it :) In the mean time, here's the precious new face at Ratbone Rescues - her name is Sydney.
